Piping Designer

Job Summary

A leading manufacturing & engineering contractor is looking for a Piping Designer. Candidates should have a BS in Mechanical Engineering or related experience. This position requires at least 3 years of experience in piping design and stress analysis. Must be proficient in Caesar II, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Autodesk Inventor. The company is employee‑owned and pays out twice a year. Medical and dental benefits are provided.

• Perform pipe stress analysis using Caesar II to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME B31.1/B31.3).
• Develop and manage 3D piping models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Autodesk Inventor.
• Design and detail pipe supports and ensure proper integration with structural elements.
• Create and optimize piping layouts for process efficiency, safety, and maintainability.
• Generate piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings, and support details.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO).
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure design consistency.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability assessments.
