Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in financial reporting, SEC filings, and general accounting operations within the banking or financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review financial statements and regulatory filings (e.g., SEC reports, call reports).
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Analyze financial data and provide variance and trend analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams on process improvements and reporting accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- CPA designation is a strong asset, but not required.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
