Role Overview:
The engineer will support enterprise-wide infrastructure services, focusing on end-user solutions engineering. Responsibilities include defining technical standards, designing standard platforms, provisioning, and enabling scaled migrations supporting various hardware devices, emerging operating systems (e.g., Windows 10), and core software in a complex multi-platform environment.
Provide technical design, expertise, and guidance in the development, integration, launch, scaling, and maintenance of Windows Operating Systems and related products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to establish secure and operational frameworks, including requirements analysis, design, testing, and implementation, adhering to quality release processes.
Required Skills- High-level technical expertise with client platforms and operating systems, including Windows 7/8.1, Office 2010/2013, and essential experience with Windows 10 and Office 2016/Office
365. - Knowledge of MS Exchange, AppV, Active Directory, unified communications, network protocols, SCCM 2012/Configuration Manager, OSD/MDT, and Bitlocker.
- Proficiency with configuration management via group policies and preferences, and scripting/automation skills (e.g., VB, Power Shell).
- Experience with desktop platform design, imaging, provisioning, migration, deployment, management, and testing in an enterprise environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, in Windows OS client desktop platform infrastructure engineering, development, migration, and support roles.
