IT Service Center Technician; Non- Study

Position: Spring 2026 IT Service Center Technician (Non-Work Study)

Overview

The IT Service Center seeks top performers with strong customer service skills to join our staff as student employees. Student employees will be trained to troubleshoot a variety of account and computer issues ranging from installing software, assisting customers with logging into their account to fixing printer issues. Beyond the training, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in the daily operations on the BSU Campus.

Responsibilities

Student employees will be trained to troubleshoot account and computer issues including:

• Installing software
• Assisting customers with logging into their account
• Fixing printer issues

Collaborate as part of a team that supports daily operations on the BSU Campus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Matriculated in classes that equal a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Maintains a good academic standing.
• Ability to work independently and to learn quickly.

• Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari
• Operating Systems (Windows, Mac)
• Blackboard
• Info Bear
• Anti-virus software
• Navigating BSU Website

Physical Demands

Able to lift up to 20 pounds
