WHO YOU ARE

The Vendor Management Lead plays a critical role in managing, optimizing, and strengthening the organization’s technology vendor ecosystem. You will partner closely with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Legal, and business units to ensure the company secures best‑in‑class vendors, negotiates favorable contract terms, and maximizes value from every technological investment. You will be the organization’s subject‑matter expert in sourcing strategy, contract management, and vendor performance oversight, helping teams operate more efficiently and make informed decisions about third‑party partnerships.

Vendor Management Leads engage directly with senior leaders, internal stakeholders, and external partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology vendor relationships and contract discussions.
  • Lead contract negotiations to achieve cost savings, favorable terms, and reduced risk.
  • Manage the full vendor contract lifecycle, including renewals, expirations, and renegotiations.
  • Develop and execute RFPs and vendor evaluation and selection processes.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with compliance, budget, and operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation, cost reduction, and improved service quality.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics.
  • Track vendor performance, elevate issues, and ensure service‑level obligations are met.
  • Leverage platforms such as Ironclad, Coupa, or similar tools to automate sourcing and contracting processes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, pricing benchmarks, and best practices to ensure competitive positioning.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • 5+ years of vendor management, procurement, sourcing, or contract administration experience—preferably within technology or IT services.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts with SaaS, hardware, software, and managed‑services vendors.
  • Experience leading RFPs and end‑to‑end vendor selection processes.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills focused on cost optimization and ROI.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract tools such as Ironclad and/or Coupa strongly preferred.
  • Effective communication, stakeholder management, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Excellent organizational, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional, global teams.
