Job Description:

Leads, directs, and coordinates the day‑to‑day management of the project. Reports to a Senior Project Manager or Project Executive.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the development of high‑performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Provide timely feedback and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum performance and career potential.
  • Develop and improve client relationships, fostering a “trusted advisor” status.
  • Understand and administer Turner’s contract and subcontract agreements.
  • Provide leadership to positively influence change and promote Turner’s community involvement.
  • Foster and enhance relations with architects, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
  • Provide oversight of pre‑construction team as needed.
  • Manage budget and financial reporting, interpreting and analyzing reports to ensure adherence to the project budget.
  • Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.
  • Lead in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee and pricing decisions.
  • Advise staff on Turner’s business ethics and compliance programs.
  • Demonstrate high standards of professionalism, accountability, and integrity; mentor staff to the same standards.
  • Oversee field operations and engineering processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, labor relations, and employee relations requirements.
  • Enforce safety protocols among project staff.
  • Coordinate with Finance on the Pay Application process to ensure timely payment.
  • Keep management informed on progress and budget through regular Operations Review Meetings.
  • Support and drive utilization of Turner initiatives and emerging technologies.
  • Promote an inclusive environment.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of ten years related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles, accounting principles, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced presentation skills and the ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. Proven written and verbal communication abilities and strong leadership interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:

Abilities include climbing stairs and ladders, using hoists, operating tools, handling objects, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other tasks required on a construction site. Reasonable accommodations can be made.

Work Environment:

On‑site construction environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, outdoor weather, and electrical hazards. Noise typically moderate to very loud.
