Responsibilities
  • Consistently keep the store energy lively and upbeat for customers and teammates.
  • Engage multiple clients at the cash wrap and create a positive, lasting impression by offering personalized service.
  • Accurately and efficiently perform register/POS transactions, sales, returns, exchanges, etc.
  • Ensure accurate ringing and pricing of merchandise; use price overrides when necessary to charge the correct price of SKUs.
  • Manage all aspects of a customer’s expectations, clearly communicating product information, care, maintenance, time frames, and delivery.
  • Affirm the client’s purchase and offer additional merchandise suggestions to complement and complete initial selections.
  • Ensure the client is aware of all promotions that may impact sales.
  • Share information and testimonials about products, in-store events, and workshops to enhance the customer experience.
  • Maintain visual standards and supplies of the cash wrap area.
  • Maximize available resources to help the customer get what they want and resolve any issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Foster an environment where all associates are treated fairly, with dignity and respect, in line with our People-First Philosophy.
Qualifications
  • Love to close a sale and demonstrate the ability to exceed goals.
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and look for ways to think outside the box.
  • Passionate about creating lasting relationships with customers by capturing contacts, reconnecting, and promoting Williams-Sonoma has to offer including the Williams-Sonoma Credit Card and product launches.
  • Know what questions to ask customers to understand their personal style and needs.
  • Work well in a team while able to work independently and manage your own tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate POS system.
  • Ability to lift and move medium to large items, up to 75 pounds, using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
  • Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs. Part-time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two weekend shifts and two shifts during the week.
Physical Requirements
  • Mobility on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate POS system.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize up to 75 pounds with appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour.
