WHO YOU ARE:
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer II with strong development and architectural expertise in the People Soft ecosystem to help drive meaningful automation and process improvements across our Business Operations Finance environment. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Zinnia’s People Soft SMEs to design and deliver scalable solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the People Soft GL and AP modules, along with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with global team members.
You’ll also work alongside cross‑functional teams and Zinnia Infrastructure to support complex integrations with AWS, Slack, Datadog, Zinnia Live, and other key systems of record.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work as part of a global, cross‑functional team to develop innovative software for Zinnia’s stakeholders.
- Contribute to projects by creating well‑designed, customized, testable, and efficient code for Zinnia's platforms.
- Assist our teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing Zinnia's platforms.
- Maintain flexibility to support the challenging development and delivery needs of Zinnia.
- Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders, and customers.
- Act as a mentor and technology expert for team members and conduct technical reviews.
- Architect, design, develop, and validate various requirements for the Zinnia platforms.
- Be able to work in a fast‑paced environment, recognize and react to changing business needs, and effectively prioritize tasks.
- Be self‑motivated and able to work independently and in conjunction with team members and business units. Enthusiasm and flexibility to work on a variety of projects.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- People Soft GL and AP module experience.
- 10+ years of expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies with end‑to‑end project lifecycle experience using Agile methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or a closely related field; professional experience can be substituted in lieu of a formal degree.
- Experience architecting, designing, developing, and delivering tasks.
- Understanding of advanced design patterns and API‑first design.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work as part of a cross‑functional, global team.
- Fluent client communication, issue management, deployment, and delivery support.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Team coordination, analytical skill, self‑learning, communication, technical documentation, system analysis.
BONUS POINTS:
- Working experience on enterprise‑level applications/products.
- Insurance/financial services (Life and Annuity) industry knowledge.
- Experience with web‑based software as a service (SaaS) applications.

The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 dependent on skills and location. The salary range is a good faith estimate based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.
