Location: Bridgnorth

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday (06:00 - 14:00)

Salary: Up to £16.97 per hour, dependent on experience.

About

The Role

As a Casting Technician, you’ll support our Engineering and Production teams in preparing and controlling the metal casting process. You’ll ensure materials meet specification, maintain a safe working environment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Preparing and controlling metal casting processes to meet production schedules.
  • Performing checks to ensure material quality and specification compliance.
  • Managing the casting area for efficient workflow.
  • Supporting sampling and production activities for repeatable processes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Implementing safe working practices in a high‑temperature environment.
  • Assisting with audits and process improvements.
Who We’re Looking For

You’ll bring experience and a proactive approach to working in a technical environment. Essential skills include:

  • Experience of foundry processes and ideally automotive quality standards.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Manual handling and HSE awareness training.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Crane slinger, bobcat or overhead crane training (or willingness to train).
  • Ability to travel to site.
