Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (08:30 - 17:00)
Salary: Up to £50,000, dependent on experience.

AboutThe Role
As our Reliability Engineer, you’ll develop and deliver a robust, future‑focused approach to maintenance across the site. This office‑based role is centered on strategy, insight and continuous improvement rather than hands‑on repair. You’ll apply concepts such as FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), condition‑based monitoring and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) to understand risk, prevent failures and strengthen equipment availability.
Working closely with the Head of Maintenance & Facilities, you’ll use data, engineering principles and structured problem solving to influence how assets are managed throughout their lifecycle. Your work will support greater operational stability, help reduce reactive activity and contribute to our ambition for more predictive, connected and efficient processes.
You’ll be a key decision‑maker in how we use performance data, failure history and system insights to build a modern, data‑led maintenance approach.
What You’ll Be Doing- Developing proactive maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability.
- Owning TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activity and supporting the site’s asset performance roadmap.
- Delivering FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) activity to identify, prioritise and mitigate risk.
- Introducing and improving condition‑based monitoring approaches.
- Using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), data to strengthen preventative and predictive planning.
- Supporting asset lifecycle planning and continuous improvement activity.
- Helping the team build stronger technical and conceptual understanding.
- Strong understanding of TPM, FMEA and engineering problem‑solving principles.
- Mechanical or electrical background, with knowledge gained through NVQ/HNC/HND/Degree/Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Good conceptual understanding of equipment, detailed familiarity can be trained.
- Experience in manufacturing or a similar technical environment.
- Interest in condition‑based monitoring and proactive maintenance methods.
- Ability to interpret data and use insight to shape better decisions.
