Position: Stores Technician (Late Shift)

Location: Bridgnorth

Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday (14:00 - 22:00)

Salary: £13.46 plus shift allowance.

About

The Role

As a Stores Technician on our afternoon shift, you’ll help ensure the smooth, safe and efficient running of our stores operation. You’ll support goods in and goods out, stock rotation and housekeeping so that production teams get what they need, when they need it.

Working to established processes and our Quality Management System, you’ll use our system to keep stock records accurate, while maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and environmental compliance across internal and external storage areas.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Safely loading and unloading materials, using a counterbalance forklift truck where required.
  • Receiving and checking deliveries, then accurately booking goods in and out on Business Central.
  • Issuing materials and consumables to production, maintaining stock rotation in line with FIFO.
  • Carrying out spot checks and contributing to monthly stock takes to maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Keeping stores, skips and external storage areas clean, tidy and well organised.
  • Handling COSHH and hazardous items using HSDS information and company procedures.
  • Following departmental processes and Quality Management System requirements to support reliable operations.
Who We’re Looking For

To be successful in this Stores Technician role, you’ll bring:

  • Experience working in a stores, warehouse or materials‑handling environment.
  • Confidence using computer systems to book goods in and out (experience with Business Central or WMS is desirable).
  • Good communication and team working skills, with a positive, flexible approach to supporting the department.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety and environmental requirements, especially around hazardous materials and COSHH.
  • Competence using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Successful completion of manual handling training, or the willingness to complete this training with us.
  • A current, valid counterbalance forklift truck licence and relevant FLT training/certification.
  • Ability to travel to site.
