We have an opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to join our team at Hinkley Point C, Somerset, TA5 1UD
. The main aim of the role is working as part of a team and assisting the Locker Supervisor in the allocation of lockers and completion of full locker audits on a prescribed basis.
This will also include the issuing of padlocks and keys to staff and keeping up to date records while coordinating with a nominated person from all Tier 1 contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Allocate and manage all personnel lockers as approved and required to be assigned to individual workers at HPC throughout the construction life.
- Assist in the reallocation of combination lock codes and the allocation of master keys when a worker forgets the combination for their own padlock.
- Ensure that all lockers are individually and accurately numbered.
- Coordinate with all Tier 1 contractors and HPC managers to ensure all workers are aware of the locker and changing room policies and procedures.
- Assist in the completion of weekly and monthly locker audits for the client as directed by the Locker Coordinator.
- Ensure all lockers are fit for purpose and report any defects for quick resolution.
- Keep records and update the client on all personnel who have left the site without returning their padlock or keys.
- Build relationships with the client by providing a high level of service.
- Follow instructions from your Supervisor and uphold company policy and procedures at all times.
- Use a computer to record and keep information up to date, answering emails regarding locker issues.
- Attend training as and when required.
- Adhere to the contract’s uniform policy, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while carrying out duties.
- Maintain a smart, presentable and professional image at all times.
- Commitment to high standards of organisation and time‑keeping.
- Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner.
- Ability to act on own initiative.
- Willingness to participate in further training/development.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
