SPS Manager West

There is an exciting opportunity to join our Sewerage Pumping Station (SPS) team as SPS Manager.

This role is responsible for leading the north SPS operational team, ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our sewerage pumping station assets whilst delivering excellent performance for our customers, communities and the environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining compliance, drivingoperationalimprovements,supporting investment programmes anddevelopingahigh-performingteamcapable of delivering exceptional standardsacrossthe region.

As theSPSManager, you will:

• lead, develop andsupportateamofSPSOperators and technicians
• ensure the highest standards ofhealth, safety and wellbeing for employees and contractors
• manageteamperformance, training, succession planning and personal development
• drive complianceacrossoperational,environmentalandregulatoryrequirements
• manage theSPSmaintenance programme, workbankperformanceand asset reliability
• lead responses tooperationalincidents, service failures and pollution prevention initiatives

• ensure effectivemanagementoftelemetryalarms, customer contacts, lone working compliance and site standards
• communicate incidents,operational risks,performance issues and businessprioritieseffectivelyacrossthe wider organisation
• supportthedeliveryof companyobjectivesrelating to customer service,environmental performance, assethealthandoperationalresilience.

We're looking for someone who combines strong leadership skillswithextensiveoperationalknowledge.

You will ideally have:

• proven experienceleadingoperationalteams
• extensive knowledge of sewerage pumping stations, pumps,control systems andassociatedequipment
• a strongunderstandingofoperationalrisk,environmental compliance and incident management
• experience managing maintenance programmes and drivingoperationalperformance
• electrical and/or Mechanical qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• a recognisedmanagementqualification, ideally ILM Level 3 or above, or a willingness to work towards one
• sound knowledge of COSHH, DSEAR andhealthand safety requirements
• excellentcommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills
• strong IT skills and experience usingoperationalsystems,telemetry and assetmanagementtools
• theabilityto make effectivedecisionsin afast-pacedoperationalenvironment
• aproactiveapproach to problem solving andcontinuousimprovement
• a fullUKdriving licence.
