Are you an experienced Surveyor or Contract Management professional looking for a role where your expertise can make a real difference?

At Homes in Somerset, we're investing in our homes and communities and we're looking for a Quantity & Contract Management Surveyor to help us deliver high-quality planned investment and major works programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of projects, manage contracts, control costs and ensure our customers' homes are safe, well-maintained and improved to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing planned maintenance, investment and major works projects from inception to completion.
  • Monitoring project budgets, costs and contractor performance.
  • Administering contracts and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.
  • Supporting procurement activities and providing commercial advice.
  • Working closely with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to achieve excellent outcomes for customers.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and quality standards.
What we're looking for
  • Experience in quantity surveying, contract management, project management or a similar property-related discipline.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, cost management and procurement processes.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
