Hinkley Point C (HPC) is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years, HPCs two EPR reactors will be capable of generating 3.26GW of secure, low carbon electricity for 60 years, enough electricity to power around 6 million homes. The Construction Delivery Manager will support the deliveryofan area within aspecific section of the Works. This responsibility extends to all construction and related activities, reporting to the Senior Construction Delivery Manage rand  includes logistics planning and implementation in collaboration with the site wide logistics team,programming and planning, monitoring and close out of authorities’obligations and conditions andclient liaison.

• Support the contract partners in their delivery of the works packages to enable efficient delivery of the of their sectionsofworks.

• Recommend temporary measures to mitigate against safety and/or quality concerns. Follow up by takingappropriateand proportionate action (e.g. issue communications, call meetings) to avoid thecessationof works.
  
  This includes but is not limited to review of documents, assurance audits etc.

• Monitor works on site and input into the construction daily report to ensure information is reported up through the organisation to the Senior Construction Delivery Manage rand escalation any issues/concerns via detailed reports.

• Proactively communicate/co-ordinate with othersiteteams(H&S, contract, project controls,logistics) and Construction Delivery Managerstomaintaingood communication links, and ensure activity is well andtimelyreported.
  
  This will also include attendances at pre-start briefings and supporting the delivery of key messages to the contractor’sorganisation.

• Attend PLOD/PLOW meetings with the contractor, ensure outputs are recorded and issued to the SCDM.

• Undertake safety and/or assurance inspections that support the project HSPI’s.

• Experience and knowledge of construction sequencing, recoveryplansandresource allocation.

• Good understanding of the post holder’s obligations under CDMRegulations.

• Working knowledge in the delivery of projects.
