Are you an experienced construction professional who enjoys being out on site, leading from the front and getting the best from a team?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy Civils Construction team at Hinkley Point C, working on one of the largest and most high-profile infrastructure projects in the UK. As a Working Construction Supervisor, you'll combine hands-on construction knowledge with team leadership. You'll oversee operatives, coordinate day-to-day site activities and make sure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Supervising site operatives and coordinating activities including excavation, pipe-laying, plant operations, groundworks and concreting.

· Ensuring construction activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and quality requirements.

· Monitoring progress against targets and helping the team deliver work to programme.

· Championing health, safety and wellbeing, building awareness across the workforce and helping to reduce accidents and incidents.

· Leading by example and creating a working environment where safety is everyone's priority.

· Managing interfaces with other teams and departments to keep work progressing smoothly.

· Building strong working relationships and helping resolve site and technical issues quickly.

· Providing practical guidance and technical advice to operatives when required.

· Motivating your team and encouraging high standards of workmanship, accountability and performance.

· Working outdoors in a fast-paced construction environment where every day can bring a different challenge.

Experience &

Skills:

· Relevant construction site supervisory experience.

· A Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification.

· Strong knowledge of health and safety within a construction environment.

· Experience supervising site operatives and coordinating day-to-day construction activities.

· Good communication and problem-solving skills.

· A practical understanding of civil engineering and groundworks activities.

· The confidence to challenge unsafe practices and promote positive safety behaviours.

· A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective relationships with different teams and disciplines.
