SEND Learning Support Assistant

What skills and experience we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and positive person to join our excellent team of Learning Support Assistants to support a child with Autism in the school environment.

• Providing a safe, caring and nurturing environment for the child.
• Aiding in planning, delivering and implementing work tasks, under the direction and supervision of the SEND Co‑ordinator and Teacher.
• Delivering some of the 1:1 provision and interventions within the EHCP under the guidance of the SEND Co‑ordinator and teacher.
• Participating in relevant training.
• Taking part in reviews and meetings involving outside professionals.
• Working closely with staff and pupils.
• Supporting the child during any break and lunchtimes.
• Providing First Aid.
• Inspiring creativity, exploration, and curiosity in children.
• Promoting the safeguarding and well‑being of all children.
