At Bridgwater College Academy, we believe that exceptional teaching changes everything. We’re looking an outstanding Design Technology teacher to teach to KS3 and KS4. Contract: Full time, Permanent

Scale: Qualified Teachers’ Pay Scale

We are particularly keen to welcome specialists in Food, Catering and Hospitality, though with Product Design already established and our wider offer expanding, there is real flexibility for the right candidate.

We also welcome applications from talented individuals who are not yet qualified teachers but hold a relevant degree, as training and development opportunities can be offered for the right person.

The ideal candidate will be committed to nurturing a love of learning, encouraging independent thought, and helping students make meaningful connections between the classroom and the world beyond this.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently holds a relevant degree and is willing to complete teacher training
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
  • The energy, creativity, and resilience to bring learning to life
  • A team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to contribute to a supportive and high-performing department
  • A belief that every child can succeed, and that great teaching makes it possible
