Main PurposeThis role presents a long‑term, engaging, and rewarding opportunity as a key member of Bilfinger UK’s expanding inspection team at Hinkley Point
C. In the role of an NDT Technician, you will play a crucial role in the execution of a quality NDT service throughout the site.
- Conducting NDT (volumetric and surface methods) on pipework, tanks/vessels and structures. Complete inspection reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Accurately interpreting and documenting test findings in alignment with procedures and industry acceptance standards
- Reviewing colleagues' reports and interpretation of results
- Complete and record daily equipment checks
- Strict adherence to both our internal and site-specific health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) policies
- Conducting point of work risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment
- Providing mentorship and training to apprentices
- Write detailed and concise inspection technique sheet
- Essential: PCN Level 2 or equivalent ISO 9712 certification in Radiography, MPI and DPI
- Preference for candidates with additional NDT qualifications (PCN ARS, UT, VT)
- Experience with new build, construction site weld testing
- Desirable: knowledge of IRR 2017
- Can‑do, problem‑solving skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and a willing ability to work in a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
