Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer who enjoys being hands‑on while also leading meaningful site projects?
This is an opportunity to join a successful and expanding manufacturing business where you will have real ownership of electrical projects, autonomy in decision‑making, and a direct impact on site performance and safety.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you’ll play a key role in delivering electrical improvements, supporting capital investment projects, and acting as the site Electrical Duty Holder — giving you both technical responsibility and professional recognition.
This is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing practical installation work with project coordination and compliance leadership.
What You’ll Be Doing Delivering Electrical Projects- Designing and installing containment systems (tray, trunking, conduit, cable ladder)
- Planning and executing installations for new machinery and infrastructure
- Managing contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently
- Maintaining and upgrading LV distribution systems (switch gear, panels, submains)
- Carrying out load assessments and cable sizing
- Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
- Cable pulling, terminating, testing and commissioning
- Supporting fault finding and root cause analysis across production
- Mentoring apprentices and junior team members
- Acting as the site Electrical Duty Holder (EAWR compliance)
- Leading electrical safety audits
- Maintaining schematics, inspection records, and risk assessments
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience with in manufacturing, FMCG, production or similar
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, VSDs and control panels
- Practical, hands‑on capability with a proactive mindset
- Someone confident working independently and taking ownership
- C&G 2391 (Inspection & Testing) would be advantageous.
