Overview

Be an integral part of the pre‑construction team of an established Civil Engineering contractor operating across Somerset and surrounding counties. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of a growing Civil Engineering contractor that delivers multiple projects on behalf of local authorities, private sector and infrastructure clients.

• Be responsible for preparation and submission of all bids.
• Review specifications, drawings, schedules and tender documents.
• Analyse labour, material and plant subcontractors for best value.
• Produce BoQ and pricing schedules.
• Identify and monitor risk/opportunities.

• Experience working for a Civil Engineering contractor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience reviewing contract terms and conditions, identifying and clarifying scope of work at tender stage and creating commercial strategies.
• Work experience on tenders within the Civil Engineering industry.
• Working knowledge of NEC & JCT contracts.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam and estimating software (Causeway, Valesco etc).

Location:

Based from our clients' offices in Bridgwater and required to attend projects on a weekly basis.

Working hours:

08:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday.

Salary band: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum.
