- Collaborate with teams across IT, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain to drive successful outcomes and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Manage and optimise IT infrastructure and networking systems within a high:volume manufacturing environment, ensuring maximum uptime and operational reliability.
- Translate manufacturing operational needs into robust IT requirements and support infrastructure expansion for future growth.
- Act as the primary IT liaison for manufacturing, ensuring systems are responsive and aligned with business needs.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices across IT and operational technology environments, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Deliver effective IT training programmes to empower end users and enhance digital fluency.
- Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure and networking within manufacturing environments.
- Solid knowledge of OT systems such as SCADA, PLCs, and IoT devices, as well as IT systems like PLM, MES, and simulation tools.
- Strong problem:solving and decision:making skills, with ability to manage risks and develop contingency plans.
- Proven ability to work alongside regulators, business partners, and third:party contractors to address concerns and manage expectations.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with preferred certifications like CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft System Administration.
This role is 3 days onsite in Bridgwater in a fast:paced manufacturing environment in a beautiful and historic region.
