As part of our activity, we have a position to fill as Cost Engineer (m/f) to integrate the EPR2 Hinkley-Point U.K. project.
OverviewAs part of the Integrated Project Controls team, the Cost Engineer is a key enabler for the successful delivery of Hinkley Point
C. Reporting to the Senior Cost Engineer
, you will operate within a matrix organization to provide a "single source of truth" regarding delivery performance across various project programmes (Engineering, Construction, MEH, etc.). This role is vital for maintaining stakeholder confidence through integrated baseline delivery and milestone achievement.
- Data Management: Produce and maintain accurate cost and forecast data aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
- Reporting: Coordinate and produce regular cost and forecasting reports, including detailed commentary on performance drivers and time-related issues.
- Analysis & Insight: Provide analytical support to Senior Cost Engineers by interpreting technical and financial data to facilitate robust decision‑making.
- Trend & Change: Assist in the Trend & Change process, analyzing project-level risks and opportunities.
- Systems Oversight: Maintain all cost data within specialized software systems such as Eco Sys and SAP
. - Governance: Ensure compliance with project controls principles and EDF policies, specifically regarding the protection of Sensitive Nuclear Information.

Skills:
High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex unique insights simply to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Technical Proficiency: Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and specialized tools like Eco Sys, Power BI, and SAP
.
Education: Minimum of an HND or equivalent in project management, project controls, engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Demonstrable experience in project controls and a Project Management environment. Experience in major construction or the nuclear industry is desirable but not mandatory.
