Estimator, Engineering, Civil Engineering

Be an integral part of the pre-construction team of an established Civil Engineering contractor operating across Somerset and surrounding counties. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of a growing Civil Engineering contractor that delivers multiple projects on behalf of local authorities, private sector and infrastructure clients.

As an Estimator you will:

• Be responsible for preparation and submission of all bids.
• Review specifications, drawings, schedules and tender documents.
• Analyse labour, material and plant subcontractors for best value.
• Produce BoQ and pricing schedules.
• Identify and monitor risk/opportunities.
• Be experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor.
• Have excellent communication skills.
• Have experience of reviewing contract terms and Conditions, identifying and clarifying scope of work at tender stage and creating commercial strategies.
• Have worked on tenders within the Civil Engineering industry.
• Have working knowledge of NEC & JCT contracts.
• Be experienced with MS Office, Bluebeam and estimating software (Causeway, Valesco etc)

Location: You will be based from our clients offices in Bridgwater and required to attend projects on a weekly basis

Working hours: 08:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday

Salary band: £60,000 - £75,000 per annum
