To provide day to day operational management of the service delivery under the guidance of the Decontamination Manager.

To be technically responsible for the decontamination department through liaison with the Manager and manage all flexible endoscopes.

Apply professional judgement and utilise specialist skills and detailed scientific knowledge when reviewing complex facts, interpreting technical data which require the analysis and comparison of a wide range of options for the production and dissemination of flexible endoscopes.

To manage, develop and review Standard Operating Procedures for the department including new equipment/ processes.
