Overview
Typical Shifts are: approx. 20 hours per week, a combination of 08:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 20:30, or 10:00 – 18:00 including alternate weekends.
RoleWe’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Female Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a Support Worker you’ll help people gain more independence in their daily lives, while working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people in a residential setting.
About the ServiceOur residential service in Langport looks out over the Somerset levels. This family-oriented, warm and welcoming environment enables individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy and complex care needs including visual impairments. No two days will be the same—assist with personal care, encourage access to the local community (including the pub and local shops), and participate in a variety of activities to support growth and confidence.
Responsibilities- Assist with personal care and daily living tasks.
- Support individuals to access their local community and participate in activities.
- Encourage independence and help individuals set and achieve goals (e.g., cooking dinner, planning trips).
- Work within a team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Full UK driving license (preferred by this service).
- Resilient, flexible, and composed in approach.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism, epilepsy and visual impairments is desirable.
- Genuine caring attitude and passion for enhancing quality of life.
- Enhanced evening and weekend pay at an additional 50p per hour (Ts & Cs apply).
- Premium overtime rates at an additional £1 per hour (Ts & Cs apply).
