The contractor will provide Solution Architecture services to support the design, assurance, and governance of digital and technology solutions across cloud, infrastructure, data, integration, end-user compute, operational technology, and enterprise platforms. The contractor is expected to deliver architecture artefacts and governance outputs ensuring solutions meet business outcomes, comply with regulatory and cyber requirements, and align with established HPC architectural principles.
Operating EnvironmentThe contractor will work within the HPC Digital & IT function, specifically the Architecture team, collaborating with Delivery, Service & Digital Operations, and Data Governance. The environment is complex, regulated, and governed, requiring adherence to strict design and security controls.
Scope of ServicesThe contractor will deliver the following activities:
- Produce high-level and low-level designs, roadmaps, patterns, and environment strategies.
- Support solution assurance and translate requirements into scalable design components.
- Architectures across Azure, M365/Entra , HCI, PLM, EDRMS, EUC, and enterprise systems.
- Prepare and review design documentation and supplier deliverables.
- Participate in architecture governance forums including the ARB.
- Ensure compliance with cyber and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with partners and internal IT stakeholders.
- Support evaluation of emerging technologies.
- 3-5+ years in architecture, engineering, or technical design roles.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud, networking, security, integration, and Dev Ops pipelines.
- Experience with Mule Soft, Databricks, SQL, and enterprise platforms.
- Understanding of CASB, firewalls, proxies, load balancing.
- Ability to produce high-quality architecture artefacts.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Azure Expert certification (mandatory). TOGAF/ITIL desirable.
- High-Level and Low-Level Designs.
- Architecture assessment reports.
- Integration diagrams and environment strategies.
- Supplier deliverable reviews.
- Governance documentation and ARB submissions.
- Technical risk logs and compliance evidence.
- Inputs to roadmaps and architecture patterns.
