Project Manager, Program ​/ Project Manager, Operations Manager

Position: Project Manager (Permanent)
We’re working with a growing regional contractor to recruit a Project Manager who will lead a local authority framework covering Somerset and the M5 Corridor. You’ll be part of an exciting journey working closely with the senior leadership team to grow the region, take ownership of your team and deliver for your key clients.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for managing a small team to deliver minor civils works and reactive projects up to £200k across Somerset – at peak times you’ll be managing up to 10 projects at different construction stages. You will support the client with construction solutions, pricing and programmes before handing over to the delivery team. There will also be larger one-off projects up to £2m.

It is essential you have site experience, either working as a Site Engineer or Site Manager delivering drainage, highways and structures projects.

Duties include:

* Lead the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of multiple framework projects

* Manage programmes, resources, procurement, and site teams

* Maintain strong client, stakeholder, and supply chain relationships

* Oversee H&S, quality, and compliance with all relevant legislation

* Support pricing, valuations, and monthly commercial reporting

* Mentor and develop delivery teams while driving performance across the framework

You will have a strong civil engineering background with up-to-date health and safety knowledge, be proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project, and possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
