Assistant Packhouse Manager

Our client is a specialised leader in the growing and marketing of fresh fruit. An innovative and established force, they have created a dynamic infrastructure, providing freshness and energy in the form of healthy, pure and delicious fresh produce to UK major retailers. With quality and customer satisfaction being the priority for this successful company, they are now looking to recruit an Assistant Packhouse Manager to strengthen the operations team.

Reporting to the General Manager, your main role will require you to support the packhouse and planning function of the business as well. Capturing data and working on KPI’s to improve the efficiencies of waste and labour management within the business as well as dealing with budgetary expenditure will also need to be your forte.

The ideal candidate will need to have previous experience working in an packhouse or factory supervisory role within Fresh Produce or Food. This will be a challenging position; drawing on a range of skills therefore you will need to have demonstrated effective man-management experience in a fast-moving production environment.

The successful applicant will not only be a natural people manager and a confident leader but a great communicator with the will to drive and develop the packing teams.
