Job DescriptionWe're looking for an experienced Quality Management Lead (QML) to join a major nuclear new-build programme, supporting the delivery of critical electrical equipment across the full project lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with quality management experience who understands manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities and is comfortable working directly with suppliers, project teams and site stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for quality oversight of one or more of the following:
- HV Switchboards
- LV Switchboards
- Battery Systems
- Lead quality management activities throughout the complete project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs).
- Review and monitor Contractor Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs).
- Coordinate manufacturing surveillance activities and supplier quality oversight.
- Manage non-conformances and drive timely resolution.
- Support supplier assessments and quality audits.
- Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans and Follow-Up Documentation.
- Coordinate quality documentation reviews and acceptance activities.
- Lead LTQR reviews and support Quality Release Certificate processes.
- Work closely with project, engineering, construction and commissioning teams to ensure quality requirements are achieved.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality delivery.
- Support successful equipment release for site installation and commissioning activities.
Required Skills:
We're particularly interested in candidates with a strong electrical engineering background who have transitioned into quality, supplier quality, project quality or manufacturing quality roles.
- 5+ years' experience within engineering, manufacturing, quality or project delivery environments.
- Experience covering manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities.
- Knowledge of electrical equipment such as switchboards, batteries, UPS systems or power distribution equipment.
- Experience working with suppliers and managing quality requirements across the supply chain.
- Willingness to travel and attend site regularly.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering

military experience
. - Experience on nuclear, energy, utilities, heavy industrial, power generation, oil & gas or regulated infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes, NCR management, manufacturing surveillance and ITPs.
- Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
