Somerset Council in Bridgwater is seeking an experienced Childrens Social Worker to join the Sedgemoor Assessment Team on a locum basis to cover maternity leave, with a pay rate up to £38 per hour (via Prism), starting 28 September 2026. You will conduct Child and Family Assessments with newly referred families, supporting them until they are stepped down or transferred to Safeguarding teams.
The Sedgemoor Assessment Teams operate closely to cover duty work and urgent responses, sharing practice
