Residential Support Worker – Children’s Homes

We are recruiting Residential Support Workers to join our Ofsted‑rated ‘Good’ Children’s Homes. Each role will have a primary base at either our Swindon
, Bridgwater
, or Wellington home, with occasional cross‑home support depending on service needs.

You will provide consistent, nurturing and trauma‑informed care to young people who have experienced significant trauma, instability and disruption. Our young people are full of potential — but they need adults who remain calm, consistent and compassionate during moments of crisis.

Current presenting needs include:

• Missing episodes
• Aggressive or verbally aggressive behaviour
• Emotional dysregulation
• CSE‑related risks

• Build positive, professional relationships
• Support routines, education, activities & independence
• Promote safeguarding and emotional regulation
• Respond to challenging behaviour using de‑escalation
• Complete logs, reports and handovers to a high standard
• Work collaboratively with social workers, schools & health professionals
• Work 24–48 hour shifts including sleep‑ins

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Calm, resilient and confident with challenging behaviour
• Strong boundaries and communication skills
• Ability to work 24–48 hour shifts including sleep‑ins
• Commitment to safeguarding and child‑centred practice
• Level 3 Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
• Understanding of trauma, attachment & EBD
• Experience with restorative practice
• Multi‑agency working experience

• Full induction, mandatory training & ongoing CPD
• Funded Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification after probation
• Clear progression opportunities
