HGV Class 1 Driver required for immediate starts in Bridgwater

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver for our client in Bridgwater. Our client is one the of the biggest supermarket brands in the UK and are looking to add more drivers into their ever-growing brand.

Pay rates

Please note the rate cross's over between shift bandings
- Days Monday to Friday £15.25

Days Saturday and Sunday £16.77

06:00 until 18:00

Afternoons Monday to Friday £16.77

Afternoons Saturday and Sunday £18.29

18:00 until 00:00

Nights Monday to Friday £18.29

Nights Saturday and Sunday £19.81

Between 00:00 and 06:00

Start times can vary but the main shift times they need to be covered are between 14:00 - 17:00 and 00.00 - 02:30.

Please note, the above rate quoted does not include holiday pay as holiday pay is paid separately when you book holiday.

Shifts can be long but in keeping with tachograph laws they will be up to 10 to 12 hours per shift on average.

Your hourly pay rate is £15.25, and you will accrue £1.85 per hour in holiday pay for every hour worked, which is banked and paid to you when you take annual leave. We do this to make sure our drivers are fairly paid and encouraged to take proper time off work as we believe regular rest is essential for safety and mental wellbeing of all workers.

Duties of HGV Class 1 Driver
- Store deliveries so rolling cages - heavy handball and manual handling involved
Occasional bay work
Mixture of box and fridge work
Weekend availability is essential for this role

The ideal HGV Class 1 Driver will have
- A valid HGV C+E Class 1 Driving License
A minimum of 6 months experience is essential
Valid CPC Card
Valid Digital Card
Clean Driving License with no more than 6 points (No TT TS MS DR DD) codes. What's in it for you?
