Finance Assistant - Accounts Payable
Job Type: Permanent (subject to completion of a probationary period)
Hours:
37.5 Hours Per Week (Monday to Friday)
Reports To:
Finance Manager
Location:
Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
Holidays: 28 days holiday including bank holidays (some bank holiday working may be required, any bank holidays not worked would be taken as part of the 28 day entitlement)

The CandidateAs our group continues to expand and thrive, we’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and driven Finance Assistant to become a key player in our Finance Team. This is your chance to take on an exciting, fast-paced role where you can truly make an impact! We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills who’s ready to take ownership of their tasks, while being flexible and supportive of the team’s goals.
Responsibilities- Process, match & code invoices and credit notes
- Inputting journals as required
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Processing supplier payment runs and ad hoc payments
- Deal efficiently with supplier queries
- Maintenance of purchase ledger accounts, including new account creation
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciling credit card statements, obtaining and matching receipts to expenditure
- Supporting other colleagues in the Finance Team as appropriate
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required
- Proven experience in a busy finance team
- A sharp eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with Sage accounting software is a bonus (but not a deal-breaker)
