Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting for:

We are looking for a Fabricator Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Bridlington.

Immediate start available (subject to interview process & weld test)

You will be responsible for fabricating and welding steel components to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.

Working Hours & Pay:

Day

Shift: £16.50 - £18.00 per hour, depending on skillset and experience.
Night

Shift: Day rate + 1/3.
Overtime opportunities may be available depending on production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Fabricate and weld steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Carry out MIG/TIG welding to a consistently high standard.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.
Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
Carry out preparation, cutting, grinding and finishing of fabricated components.
Inspect your own work to ensure it meets required quality standards.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
Work effectively as part of a production team while also being able to work independently.
Follow all company health & safety procedures and production requirements.
Meet agreed production targets and deadlines.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder.
Competent MIG/TIG welding skills.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Experience working with steel and fabrication equipment.
Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
