Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting for:

We are looking for a Fabricator Welder for a permanent position based with our client in Bridlington.

Immediate start available (subject to interview process & weld test)

You will be responsible for fabricating and welding steel components to a high standard, working from engineering drawings and specifications while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.

Working Hours & Pay:

Day

Shift: £16.50 - £18.00 per hour, depending on skillset and experience.
Night

Shift: Day rate + 1/3.
Overtime opportunities may be available depending on production requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and weld steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Carry out MIG/TIG welding to a consistently high standard.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and measurements.
  • Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out preparation, cutting, grinding and finishing of fabricated components.
  • Inspect your own work to ensure it meets required quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area.
  • Work effectively as part of a production team while also being able to work independently.
  • Follow all company health & safety procedures and production requirements.
  • Meet agreed production targets and deadlines.
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder.
  • Competent MIG/TIG welding skills.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Experience working with steel and fabrication equipment.
  • Good understanding of workshop health and safety.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
  • NVQ Level 3 or City and Guilds in Fabrication and Welding would be expected.
