History Teacher Temporary

Position: History Teacher (Contract, Temporary)
Academics Ltd is recruiting for a History Teacher to join a Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in the Bridlington area. This is a 12-month maternity cover, starting March 2026, working 4-5 days per week across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Role Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3-KS4

Plan, assess and track progress in line with curriculum expectations

Prepare students for GCSE examinations

Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives

Candidate Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Specialist in History with strong subject knowledge

Ability to inspire curiosity, critical thinking and a love of the subject

Confident classroom and behaviour management

Commitment to safeguarding and high professional standards
