This position is for a local contract Registered Nurse specializing in Labor Delivery Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) care in a hospital setting. The role requires 12-hour night shifts for 13 weeks, providing care for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns with responsibilities including fetal monitoring and newborn resuscitation. Candidates must hold an RN license for Utah, have experience in L&D nursing, and relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NRP are preferred.

Job Description & Requirements

• Patient Ratios : 1:3PP and 1:1 active labor pt
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) :
Core is 2 RNs, tech in house if labor pt on the floor or if we have more than 2 PP couplets
• Type of equipment :
Fetal Heart monitoring
• Documentation system: CPN and Meditech
• Typical Procedures:
Labor and delivery, PP care, Newborn resuscitation and stabilization, Ultrasound, Versions, Foley bulb inductions, GYN Hysterectomy patients
Must Haves:
- An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred - A recent 2 years of L&D RN experience in an acute hospital setting - Fetal monitoring experience and ability to circulate for a c/s and NRP and has experience on a LDRP unit.
- UT RN License - BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, STABLE Certification Preferred or Nice to Have:
- Medi Tech Experience - Travel Experience
