While performing duties, the counter area is often hot with steam from the steam table and food vapors. Work spaces are restricted and employees are expected to remain standing for extended periods. Tasks include preparing hot and cold foods, using a Chinese chef knife and other kitchen equipment, and working quickly without sacrificing accuracy. Employees must lift up to 50 lbs., stand for up to four hours, and reach across a counter 36 inches wide.
Kitchens are hot, noisy, and have limited storage space. Successful candidates will be able to work in a fast‑paced environment, communicate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and manage conflicts or difficult situations.
