Overview
Join Whitaker Construction Company, Inc. for a temporary, full‑time seasonal Pipelayer role. The position runs from 2/28/2026 to 12/24/2026 at 44 South 1050 West, Brigham City, UT 84302.
Work Locations- Primary site: 44 South 1050 West, Brigham City, UT 84302
- Additional worksites:
Box Elder, Cache, Davis, Morgan, Rich, Salt Lake, Summit, Utah, Wasatch, Weber counties and surrounding areas across Utah and Idaho
Use industry‑specific tools such as grade stakes, transit levels, magnetic or radio indicators to lay out, align, position and seal pipes according to written instructions or blueprints. Assist equipment operators with alignment and movement of machinery, guide pipes into place, and prepare trench boxes, slide rail shoring systems, and utility infrastructure. Perform manual tasks including digging, grading, compacting construction materials, and cleaning work sites while complying with all safety policies and SOC/OES 47‑2151 standards.
ScheduleMonday‑Friday 7:00 AM‑4:00 PM (40+ hours per week). Possible weekend and holiday work. Hours may fluctuate (+/−) based on project needs, weather, and commute between worksites.
TermsEmployer will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws regarding wages, breaks, hours worked, and overtime. Overtime is possible; if worked, wage is paid at 1.5× regular rate beyond 40 hours each week.
Requirements- Must be 18 years old
- Proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
- Drug/alcohol/tobacco‑free work zone
- Physical activities: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, move, manipulate materials up to 50 lbs
- No minimum education requirement; on‑the‑job training available
- Available for entire period and willing to work throughout all designated employment areas
$26.23 per hour; overtime $39.35 per hour. Wage paid weekly. Health and welfare benefits may apply. Possible raises and bonuses based on performance.
Transportation and SubsistenceDaily transportation provided or reimbursed for the most economical common carrier. Daily subsistence: $16.28 per day during travel, up to $68.00 per day with receipts. H‑2B workers reimbursed for visa and related fees during first workweek. Upon completion or dismissal, employer will provide reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home.
