Semi Senior Practice Accountant

At Mpeople, we’re partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Keighley to recruit a Semi Senior Practice Accountant.

This role is ideal for someone currently working in practice who is looking to build on their experience, gain greater client exposure, and progress within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.

You’ll support a portfolio of SME clients and assist with the preparation of accounts and tax work, working closely with senior colleagues and managers.

• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies
• Assisting with corporation tax computations
• Preparing accounts for sole traders and partnerships
• Supporting with VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate working papers
• Liaising with clients and responding to queries
• Using cloud-based accounting software (Xero, Quick Books, Sage)

• Current experience within an accountancy practice
• Studying AAT / ACCA / ACA (or qualified by experience)
• Solid understanding of accounts preparation
• Comfortable working with multiple clients and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach
