, we’re working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Brighouse to recruit an experienced Senior Practice Accountant
.

This is a key role within the firm, suited to a confident practice accountant who enjoys managing their own client portfolio, supporting junior staff, and delivering high-quality work in a collaborative environment.

You’ll take responsibility for a portfolio of SME clients while supporting the wider team with technical input and review work.

• Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies
• Preparation of accounts for sole traders and partnerships
• Corporation tax computations and returns
• Review of VAT returns and bookkeeping work
• Managing client relationships and acting as a main point of contact
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members
• Ensuring compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations
• Working with cloud-based systems (Xero, Quick Books, Sage)

• Strong experience within an accountancy practice
• ACA / ACCA qualified OR qualified by experience
• Confident managing a client portfolio independently
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior staff
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
