A leading college in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced and passionate Electronics / PLC Engineering Teacher to join its engineering department on a permanent, full-time basis.
This role will focus exclusively on delivering training to NVQ Level 3 Engineering Apprentices, combining both practical workshop delivery and classroom-based theory sessions.
We are ideally looking for a qualified engineering lecturer with experience delivering electrical, electronic and PLC-related units within further education, apprenticeships or industry training environments.
The RoleYou will play a key role in developing the next generation of engineers by delivering engaging and industry-relevant teaching across a range of electrical and electronic engineering subjects.
Responsibilities- Delivering practical and theory-based sessions to Level 3 apprentices
- Teaching electrical, electronic and PLC engineering units
- Supporting learners throughout their apprenticeship journey
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback
- Creating an engaging and supportive learning environment
- Working closely with the wider engineering and apprenticeship team
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience delivering electrical/electronic engineering and PLC units
- Strong industry knowledge within engineering or manufacturing environments
- Excellent communication and learner engagement skills
- Passion for apprentice development and technical education
