Placr Recruitment is recruiting for a multi-office accountancy firm supporting businesses and individuals across Sussex and Surrey. The firm provides accountancy, taxation, payroll, advisory and financial planning services.
Based in Brighton, you will work with a varied portfolio of clients, including limited companies, LLPs and charities. This is an opportunity to develop your audit and accounts experience while working alongside experienced colleagues.
The role
You will assist with the planning and completion of statutory audits, preparing accurate working papers and supporting documentation, and completing sections of audit files within agreed deadlines.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Identifying audit issues and potential risks, escalating findings to the Audit Manager or Audit Director where appropriate.
* Assisting with the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with FRS 102.
* Building strong client relationships, responding to queries and providing a professional service.
* Supporting less experienced trainees through guidance, training and feedback.
* Managing your workload effectively to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
About you
You will be studying towards your ACA or ACCA qualification and have around two years' experience supporting audits.
Experience of FRS 102 is essential, while experience preparing statutory accounts would be an advantage.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, feel comfortable working with clients and senior colleagues, and be able to prioritise multiple tasks.
Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office is required. Experience using IRIS would also be beneficial.
