Legal Assistant - Wills Trust & Probate Team

My client is recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join their Wills, Trust and Probate (Private Client) team in the Emworth office.

To provide support to the Wills Trust and Probate team by providing competent and efficient secretarial and administrative assistance in the daily running of the busy department.

• Open new files
• Tie up incoming post with client files, liaise with fee earner as to required tasks, deal with queries, agree action etc.
• Undertake general secretarial duties including dictation, diary management and file administration
• Chase outstanding documentation, liaising with external agencies such as HMRC and the Office of the Public Guardian
• File closure administration

• Experience working as a Legal Assistant in Private Client / Wills and Probate.
• Very organised, able to manage own work allocation, productivity and quality of work with minimum supervision
• Flexible and able to prioritise a changing to do list
• Detail orientated and accurate
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Self-motivated
• Articulate and a good communicator
• Proficient in using a computerized case management and accounting system
• Able to work in a team.
