We seek an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our Alternative Provision Team in order to support the development of our Adaptive Learning Provision programme.

This role arises at an exciting time in the school’s review of how we provide structured, targeted support for students who are at risk of disengagement from mainstream education. This includes students with persistent literacy difficulties, high rates of truancy, emotional‑based school avoidance (EBSA) and/or challenges in maintaining positive relationships with staff.

This role will be based in our new Adaptive Learning Provision (ALP), supporting students’ learning within a supportive, nurturing environment that re‑engages them with learning, with the ultimate aim of reintegration into full‑time mainstream education. Our ALP will be supporting a cohort of up to 10 students each school term from years 8-9.

The successful candidate will work with colleagues within our provision towards achieving our core aims:

• Reignite student engagement with education through a literacy‑driven curriculum.
• Foster positive relationships and emotional resilience via a consistent, supportive staffing model.
• Provide intensive, tailored academic and social support in a small group setting.
• Enable students to return to mainstream lessons with the skills and confidence required to thrive at their ‘home’ school.
