Lab (Bulk) Analyst – Asbestos

Brighton
£24,000 – £31,000 per annum DOE

The Opportunity

Placr Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced and detail-focused Lab (Bulk) Analyst to join a well-established asbestos consultancy based in Brighton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and supportive business with over 20 years of industry experience, providing services including asbestos bulk analysis, surveying, and air testing.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the laboratory team, analysing asbestos samples accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards in line with UKAS and HSE guidance.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

* Analysing bulk asbestos samples in accordance with UKAS and HSE guidelines

* Accurately recording and reporting analytical findings

* Producing and quality-checking bulk certificates

* Assisting with internal audits and quality procedures

* Maintaining high laboratory and compliance standards

* Managing customer enquiries regarding analytical results in a professional manner

* Working independently while supporting the wider team

About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

* BOHS P401 qualification (essential)

* Previous experience working within a UKAS-accredited laboratory

* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar asbestos laboratory role

* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

* The ability to work efficiently without compromising accuracy

* A proactive and professional approach

* Full right to work in the UK

* Full clean UK driving licence
