About the Role
Our client is seeking a Project Planner to join its established Project Controls team role will involve developing and maintaining delivery schedules for major projects, working closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to optimise delivery, manage risks, and identify opportunities.
The successful candidate will be experienced in planning within highly technical and regulated industries, with strong knowledge of project scheduling, earned value management, and risk analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Provide planning expertise and support to Project Managers and wider delivery teams.
- Produce accurate project schedules that incorporate risks, assumptions, and opportunities.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and provide monthly updates with earned value analysis.
- Maintain and update risk and assumption management databases.
- Analyse project performance to identify risks, opportunities, and impacts, making recommendations to optimise delivery.
- Review contractor and supplier schedules, advising on acceptance or required amendments.
- Ensure schedule integrity through the change control process.
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions.
Candidate Profile
- Substantial planning experience in a project-based environment.
- Strong understanding of schedules within highly technical and regulated industries.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent planning tools.
- Experience constructing and managing logic-driven, resource-loaded, and cost-loaded schedules.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Strong skills in Critical Path Analysis (CPA) and Programme Evaluation & Review Technique (PERT).
- 25 days annual leave plus public holidays (increasing with service), with buy/sell leave options.
