Aboutthe Role
Key Responsibilities
- Support occupational hygiene assessments and monitoring programmes across a diverse client base
- Identify, assess and control workplace health risks, including exposure to airborne contaminants, noise, vibration and other chemical, physical or biological hazards
- Carry out site-based assessment work
- Develop and contribute to technical analysis
- Contribute to technical reports
- Any other appropriate tasks

About You- Ability to review technical literature and understand occupational hygiene principles and techniques
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately interpret and report technical data

- Effective organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing workloads and meet deadlines

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and clients
- Proven ability to use full Microsoft Suite
- Flexible approach to work, including willingness to travel and undertake site based work across the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of workplace exposure monitoring and sampling strategies
- Experience liaising with clients and coordinating monitoring activities
- Ability to communicate technical findings to a wide range of stakeholders, including site management and regulatory bodies.
- Experience preparing technical reports, specifications, risk assessments and method statements
- Batchelors or Masters Degree within a relevant field, such as occupational hygiene, environmental health, public health, chemistry, biology, environmental science, engineering, occupational safety and health or a related discipline.
Beneficial to hold:
- BOHS-accredited degree in Occupational Hygiene or a related discipline
- Successful completion of BOHS P601 – Thorough Examination and Testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems
- Membership of a relevant professional body, such as:
- Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (FOH)
- Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH
- The role may require travel (including occasional overnight stays) across the UK and overseas, depending on project requirements
- Legal right to live and work in the UK is required
