Web Design Professional

Website Design and Development:
Design, develop and maintain responsive websites and web-based user interfaces in accordance with business requirements, technical specifications and established web design standards.

User Requirements Analysis:
Consult with management and relevant stakeholders to identify website objectives, user requirements, functional specifications and opportunities for improving digital services.

UI/UX Design:
Prepare website layouts, wireframes, prototypes and interactive interface designs to improve user experience, accessibility, navigation and overall website usability.

Web Application Interface Design:
Design interactive web application interfaces, including digital dashboards, data visualisation components and user-facing information displays where required.

Website Optimisation:
Review website usability and performance, implementing improvements to navigation, page layouts, accessibility and overall user experience.

System Integration:
Collaborate with relevant IT personnel to ensure website interfaces operate effectively with existing databases, application programming interfaces (APIs) and business systems.

Technical Documentation:
Prepare and maintain website design specifications, wireframes, technical documentation, interface guidelines and records of design changes.

Continuous Improvement:
Monitor emerging web design technologies, accessibility requirements and industry standards, recommending appropriate enhancements to the company's websites and digital platforms.

Degree or postgraduate qualification in Web Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

Knowledge of website design, responsive layouts and UI/UX principles.

Familiarity with wire framing, prototyping and web design tools.

Understanding of website accessibility and usability standards.

Good analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective web design solutions.

Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.

Knowledge of Python, SQL and data visualisation.

Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD or similar design tools.

Understanding of APIs and web application interfaces.

Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks and web performance optimisation.

Relevant practical experience in website design, interface development or UI/UX design is desirable. Applicants should hold a relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Mathematics , Information Technology, Web Design, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field. Recent graduates with suitable technical qualifications and demonstrable experience through academic, professional or personal projects will also be considered.
